Samantha González

Samantha González has been practicing law for over ten years, focusing on Intellectual Property, which provides her with experience to handle a variety of cases in both the trademark and litigation departments.

She began her practice as an intern at the Mexican Trademark Office in the Annulment and Cancellation Department, which gave her insight into the authorities’ perspective on Intellectual Property practice.

Samantha joined the firm in early 2013 and was originally responsible of the maintenance of trademark rights such as licenses, assignments, and renewals.

Currently, she handles both prosecution and litigation matters as infringement litigations, cancellation proceedings and prosecution matters, appearing before all government authorities included the Mexican Patent and Trademark Office, the Federal Administrative Affairs Courts and the Federal Court of Appeals.

The primary focus of her practice is the protection and defense of trademarks in Mexico.

Asides from her education, she has gained knowledge through several courses offered by the Mexican Trademark Office and the National Institute of Copyrights.

Besides practicing law, Samantha takes great pleasure in camping adventures, hiking, and sightseeing.
